Innis College Student Society — Graduate Representative

The Role
As the 2017–2018 Innis College Student Society Graduate Representative, I established and oversaw a $15K budget to initiate, finance, plan, execute, and communicate events designated for the graduating class of 400 students — with events seeing record levels of turnout. I volunteered time to fulfill a role historically staffed for two, and was responsible for contacting and negotiating with vendors to coordinate these events.
Grad Rings
Worked with a local jewellery designer company to design and deliver custom graduating rings to the Class of 2018. A budget of $2,000 was used to negotiate a discounted bulk price and to subsidize the cost of rings for the graduating class.

Grad Gala
Launched a successful grad gala on a budget of $3,000. Responsible for designing and obtaining customized memorabilia, decorations, catering, and promotion of the event. Turnout of 50+ students.

Grad Bowling
Hosted at The Ballroom, this became one of the most popular student events. Worked with a budget of $800 for 30 students to socialize over a fun night of bowling, food, and drinks.

Grad Trip
Going to Niagara, this trip included planning transportation, hospitality, and entertainment for a 3-day trip, targeted for 25+ students on a budget of $5,000.

Grad Photos
Promoted, planned, and organized a Toronto-based studio to come to campus over the course of two weeks for graduating students to get their grad photos taken.
